Olvita Evening Primrose Oil is obtained by cold-pressing carefully selected seeds of the biennial evening primrose (Oenothera biennis). The low pressing temperature, not exceeding 40°C, helps to preserve the oil’s natural composition.
Evening primrose oil is characterised by a high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids – these account for as much as 85% of all fats in the product. It is an unrefined, unprocessed oil that retains its natural colour and aroma.
Uses:
Evening primrose oil can be used:
- In the kitchen – as an addition to salads, raw vegetable salads and cold dishes (not suitable for frying)
- For skin care – applied directly or as an ingredient in homemade cosmetics
